The Fabulous Four is so much more than your typical teenage adventure novel. After the main characters are kidnapped, they begin planning a daring escape from their captures before it is too late. A great conversation starter for teens about the dangers of the world and how to properly keep themselves safe. This book offers drama, suspense, and heart pounding moments that leave a lasting impression on the reader.
I must say I really enjoyed this book. I loved the way the author described the different settings the kids grew up in, the antagonist's mannerism (The Baale) and specially the Fabulous Four personalities (Tunji, Adrian, Tamara and Ekaete). Tamara is my favorite character, I specially liked the scene where she fell asleep by the river and dreamt about the mammy water. ( I had to find out more about this water spirit!)
